Just returned from yet another stay at this wonderful place. So relaxing and friendly staff. Great continental breakfast selection and a great wee bar with a good selection of drinks and a very trusting way of paying. If you like walking it's the place to stay and also a short walk into newcastle. If you don't wish to walk a taxi is just a phone call away. We just love our stay there.
I stayed with some friends over the weekend and it was a lovely experience. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the toilets amazing and comfortable. We were expecting a simple breakfast and we got a really amazing and delicious breakfast. The hotel is close to the city and closer to Tollymore Forest and the Mourne Mountains. The views from the bedrooms were great. Two things could be better: the mattress and more Gluten Free options on Breakfast.
Stayed overnight here, absolutely stunning place to stay. rooms all tidy and neat, hosts very friendly and accommodating. Great choices for breakfast also. Room was very spacious and had gorgeous views from the windows. Found out when I got there it’s pet friendly so will definitely be back with my dog Sunny!
Of all the places we stayed during our West/Northwest loop of Ireland, this is among two that I really enjoyed - Carnside near the Causeway is the other. We only spent the night here, but the place was lovely and the staff was kind and welcoming. Our room overlooked the pasture, so it was absolutely lovely to leave the window cracked and hear the sheep nearby. We also ate at a wonderful Italian place nearby called Villa Vinci (make a reservation) which is definitely worth a visit.
What a wonderful gem in Co. down. This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed as a family. My well behaved border collie was most welcome, a snug to play board games with honesty bar, lovely continental breakfast which was very fresh. A nice touch was the Christmas tree in the room. We slept like babies. Thank you to all at the Briers for a very memorable stay.
Had a great sleep it was lovely and warm and the shower was amazing. Will definitely stay again!!!
Had an overnight stay room very spacious bed was comfortable had everything that I needed. Also dog friendly which was very handy would recommend a stay and will definitely be back again
Lovely place - unusual layout! Very welcoming and clean, with very good multiple choice self service breakfast (not cooked). It was a bit expensive for a ⭐⭐⭐ B&B but we were there for the Irish Open golf weekend so accommodation everywhere was a bit pricey. Newcastle is a lovely town - boardwalk and street paving and public artworks are impressive and it was kept very clean. Lots of good food, drink and entertainment too.
